How did Vik start working at Buckeye Entertainment?

Vik was a loyal member of Buckeye Entertainment’s karaoke crowd, coming in every week to sing and hang out with the crew.  As the company was continuing to grow, Byron found that he needed someone to fill in when the other guys had a scheduling conflict or asked for a day off.  Who better than a consistent regular who already knew all the guys?  Vik started tagging along to help with set up and learn the ropes as an assistant DJ, going solo about a year later.  He has since graduated to his own rig and is out making someone’s party a night to remember almost every weekend!

But who is Vik?

Born in Honduras, Vik moved to the States when he was young and has lived in Ohio for the past 30 years.  He holds degrees in Psychology and Nursing from THE Ohio State University complimented by a strong background as a professional musician, having played with such Columbus greats as Willie Phoenix, Molly Winters and Andyman Hopkins!  Though his touring days have settled down, Vik can still be found jamming out impromptu with his friends around town.

That’s great!  How does he feel about weddings?

“I revel in the fact that no two weddings are the same.  I truly do enjoy cultivating a good time and having a great party!   I love being a part of such a special and unforgettable occasion. My favorite part are the toasts, you honestly never know what you’re going to get.  Some are good, some are great, but all are different.”

Favorite music?

“Classic rock, definitely classic rock.”

Best part of working for Buckeye Entertainment?

“I get to see places I normally would never see and meet interesting characters along the way.  Music is my passion; to have found a career that allows me to do what I love and get paid for it? I consider myself one of the lucky few!”
